What Veyra knows about you

Short answer: less than almost any publication you read. This page describes what this site does, and what a live Veyra would do.

This demonstration

Veyra as published here is a HubZero Blueprint demonstration of a fictional magazine. It has no analytics, no advertising, no cookies, and no server-side storage of any kind.

The newsletter form validates an address in your browser and then discards it. The search page filters a list that was delivered with the page. Neither transmits anything.

What a live Veyra would collect

A working publication needs a small amount of data to function. Our policy would be to collect only what a stated purpose requires, and to say what that purpose is.

  • Subscription: an email address, used to send The Dispatch and nothing else.
  • Payment: handled entirely by a payment processor; card details would never reach Veyra.
  • Aggregate readership: page-level counts with no individual profile and no cross-site tracking.

What we would never do

Sell or rent reader data. Embed third-party advertising or tracking pixels. Build advertising profiles. Require an account to read a story.

Sources

Communications from confidential sources are handled under our source protection policy, not this page. Correspondence relating to reporting is retained only as long as the reporting requires, and is not held on systems that would surrender it silently.
